Sunset hike to Rørsethornet in Molde
The longest stairway made of stone in Norway? 2,200 stone steps that are made by Sherpas from Nepal. The walk up to Rørsethornet is 659 meters above sea level. It will make your heartbeat rise and take your breath away if you are afraid of heights. But after getting to the top, you will have the most amazing 360-degree view. You will see the ocean, as well as the fjord and other mountains. A sunset from Rørsethornet is also worth the experience, as well as the sunrise. The hiking season at the coast is long, and if you ask the locals, September and October are their favourite months. Food foraging in Sjøholt near Ålesund

One of the most enjoyable experiences about foraging is the way it compels a greater awareness of one's surroundings – the need to slow down, pause and look. For our ancestors foraging would simply have been a way of life – a necessity, in fact. This is something that has influenced our culture and we still eat some of the same traditional food in everyday life. When we go foraging the most common things to pick are berries, mushrooms, and wildflowers. Autumn adventures high above the fjord
The Loen Skylift is an aerial tramway that soars above the Nordfjord, terminating at the top of Mt. Hoven. Its 60° gradient makes it one of the steepest tramways in the world. (Dare we say it also has the best views). Once you’re at the top of Mt. Hoven, you’ll be tempted to take a lot of pictures. Apart from the incredible view of the Nordfjord, you can also go hiking high above the fjord. More trails on top of Mt. Hoven are built and mended, like the popular trail to Mt. Staurinibba. This is now a beautiful trail all the way to the summit at 1,379 m.a.s.l. The reward of the hike is well worth the effort – an impressive view of inner Nordfjord. Autumn trekking along rivers and lakes

Fossestien at Norwegian Scenic Route Gaularfjellet is a hiking path that follows the river Gaularvassdraget. The path follows old trails that have been stamped by livestock and people. Along the way you will experience 14 larger waterfalls and 7 lakes. Trekking the trail in the fall makes it even more scenic as the colours make the landscape extra lively and the water filled rivers add an extra dimension to the experience.
